January 2018 - 2 weeks
Khahlela Primary School of Hluvukani and students parents
In partnership with Kids Global Network association, rehabilitation and conversion of a dilapidated mobile classroom in a school library
Khahlela primary school is located in the province of Mpumalanga in the Bushbuckridge district municipality. The school was initially a crèche before it was converted to be a primary school.
The school has currently 350 learners with 12 educators.
Today they don't have access to a library and are willing to organize reading session. Most of the parents are unemployed because they never had the chance to go to school, so they rely on the state social grant.
With the parents and the teachers, we will rehabilitate a mobile classroom and convert it into a library for the children.
